Gloucestershire Premier League

 Drybrook 8pts Old Richians 21pts
Drybrook competed well for a long period in this game but eventually the visitors took a grip on the game to run out comfortable victors.
In a good opening spell Drybrook had Richians defending desperately and after 4 minutes took the lead when a lovely move led to winger Jamie Roberts squeezing over in the corner.
After 10 minutes the visitors reduced the deficit with a penalty but moments later Simon Rugman restored Drybrook’s lead with a well struck penalty from near half way.
Richians then began to get into the game and after a period of sustained pressure they broke through from a line out to score the try that put them into the lead.
Just before the interval Richians were again on the attack but a timely interception from centre Chris Rawlings was halted for offside but to add insult to injury Rawlings was yellow carded.
Richians kicked the resulting penalty to lead at the break by 8pts – 13pts.
Drybrook rarely threatened in the second half as Richians took control for long periods.
With 10 minutes gone Drybrook broke from a scrum on their own 22 metre line but gave away a silly penalty that Richians kicked to extend their lead.
Into the last quarter Richians were finally rewarded when they scored a try following a break from the scrummage to put the issue beyond doubt.
