Provisional League and Fixtures for the 2010/11 Season

SWRUGBY has just published the South West Division Leagues for next season together with a list of provisional fixtures.

Four teams were relegated from Western Counties North last season: Burnham on Sea, Southmead, Widden Old Boys and Weston Hornets.

Burnham on Sea, who finished sixth from bottom of the league, appear to have suffered most as the league structure required an additional Somerset Division Club to be demoted. This for better or for worse allowed our friends at Bristol North, who finished below Burnham in last season's table, to avoid the drop.

The four new teams we will be welcoming to the Mannings next season are Bristol Harlequins, Cirencester, St Mary's Old Boys and Yatton.

It appears Cheltenham North's application to return to the South West structure has fallen on stoney ground and they have been required to remain in the Midlands Divisions.

Two games of note for all Drybrook supporters will be the fixtures against our Forest rivals, Berry Hill. These are provisionally arranged for the 2nd of October, when Drybrook will visit Lakers Road, and the 15th of January when Berry Hill will make the return trip to the Mannings.

N.B. None of this is set in stone. Teams, Fixtures and Dates may still change.
